Kevin Mickey

Pioneer Seed Sales, Crop Insurance, Angus Feedstock

Kevin started working for the family seed business in 19-- after graduating from Lakeland University in 1982 and University of Illinois in 1984. Kevin has been a CCA since the mid 90's and manages the Pioneer Seed Sales. Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife Barbara as well as working on his woodworking and gardening.

Jon Mickey

Hay Sales and Transport, Pioneer Seed Sales, Crop Insurance, Angus Feedstock

Jon graduated from Lakeland College in 1990 and Illinois State University in 1992 with a degree in Ag Production. Jon returned home to work in the family business and has been a CCA since the mid 90's. Jon manages the hay sales and transport business and is involved in seed sales and is a certified crop insurance agent. Jon enjoys spending time with his wife Carla and sons, Tanner and Drew. In his spare time he enjoys cattle and cooking.

Kolbi graduated from Benedicting College in 2012 with a BA in History. She is licensed in crop insurance, property and casualty. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, Kendall, and their dogs and cats.

Staci earned her degree from Indiana State University with a degree in Parks and Rec. She manages the hay sales and trucking  side of the operation. She enjoys traveling, particularly out west to National Parks like Yellowstone, Glacier, and the Grand Canyon on her motorcycle. 

Tanner Mickey


Certified Angus, Marketing

Tanner is a senior in high school, where he serves as President of the local FFA chapter and is a member of the livestock judging team and has traveled overseas for competition. He is also actively involved in 4H where he shows livestock. Tanner enjoys show cattle, operating equipment, flying his drone, and photography. He plans to attend Lakeland College as part of the livestock judging team and later transfer to a 4 year university for an Ag related degree. 


Drew Mickey

Certified Angus

Drew is finishing 8th grade this year and looking forward to being involved in FFA in high school. He has been actively involved with livestock judging in 4H, focusing on cattle and pigs. He uses his experience with livestock to maintain records for the certified Angus portion of Mickey Seeds Inc. Drew also enjoys playing saxophone in the band as well as auctioneering.
